30 Minute Baked Salmon Fillet Recipe

Crisp & tender oven baked salmon fillets infused with fresh herbs and ready under 30 minutes.

  • 2 lb (approx. 900 g) skin-on salmon fillets
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice or juice from one fresh lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced (or more to taste)
  • Salt and black pepper to state


  • Lay salmon fillets skin side down on non-stick baking pan.
  • In a small mixing bowl mix olive oil, minced garlic, basil, salt and pepper and cover fillets (by rubbing it with kitchen brush /you fingers).
  • Let coated salmon fillets sit in the fridge for 10 minutes. (not mandatory, but allows fillets to absorb marinate and become richer in taste).
  • Take fillets out of fridge and cover cooking pan with aluminum foil. Place in preheated oven and bake until almost done (approx. 10-15 min in my oven). Remove foil for the last 5-7min of baking. Serve while still hot.


Roasting time may vary due to the thickness of your salmon fillets.
